Auto-Portrait Selfie Displacement
Usually for a photographer, there are two ways to do an auto-portrait. Either he places himself in front of the camera using a remote control or a self-timer to trigger the camera. Either he can take a photo using a mirror to reflect his image.
For this auto-portrait, the mirror is distorted. The ray lights are not bounced back but diffracted in the multiple directions making the reflection of the photographer disappear.
Nevertheless in the background, a man is still suggesting the act of auto-portrait. This photo is a “mise en abyme” of an autoportrait as a selfie.
