Lotus – Impermanence of colors

In Buddhism, the lotus is symbolic of purity as its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. It means also detachment as drops of water easily slide off its petals.
This photo outlines the doctrine of Impermanence which  asserts that all of conditioned existence, without exception, is “transient, evanescent, inconstant”. All temporal things, whether material or mental, are compounded objects in a continuous change of condition, subject to decline and destruction

This photo has been taken at the palace of Minh Mạng
